What's the theme ?

The tour will start on the Ile de la Cité where you will learn about the Roman conquest and how they started building the city of Lutecia. Paris was born and a few centuries later, the Francs settled in France. In the Middle Ages the old Roman palace became the Palais de la Cité where St Louis built his Saint Chapel and where Marie Antoinette would spend her final hours a her prison cell.

You will then discover the beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame, gem of the Gothic architecture before leaving the island to the enter the district of the Marais. Here you will get a glimpse of what medieval houses looked and how Paris was fortified. You will also learn about the urban and architectural changes that occurred during the 17th and 18th century when the nobles moved in their fashionable "hôtels particuliers".

Let's talk !
